허스토리 Herstory

올해 CONNECT는 홍익대학교 주연화 교수를 디렉터로 선임해 전시의 다양성을 더욱 강화했습니다.

특히 아시아 현대미술의 1세대 여성 작가를 조명하는 허스토리 HERSTORY 섹션에서는 약 60여개의 작품들을 한 공간에서 소개하는 미술관급 전시를 선보입니다. 쿠사마 야요이, 정강자, 샤오루 등 동아시아를 대표하는 여성 작가들의 작품과 함께 신디 셔먼, 제니 홀저, 키키 스미스 등 서구 대표 여성 작가들의 작품까지 한자리에서 만나보시기 바랍니다.

Henna Joo is appointed as the first director for the CONNECT sector, delivering the fair’s vision to bridge artists with regions and galleries to showcase the diversity of exhibition for the fair.

HERSTORY section highlights first-generation female artists in Asian contemporary art, showcasing 60 artworks of the 1st generation Asian contemporary art with a museum-quality. Explore the works of Kusama Yayoi, Kangja JUNG and Xiao Lu, along with those of leading Western female artists like Cindy Sherman, Jenny Holzer, and Kiki Smith and so on.
